Teleconferencing has become de rigeur in COMELEC. Like almost everyone else, we started with Zoom. Now, we’re holding Zoom meetings side by side with MS Teams meeting, while attending Congressional hearings on Webex. It’s funny, coz, even after all this time – we’re on our 4th month of quarantine – everyone is still joking about pajama bottoms, and making comments about how nice it is to see you, “even if it’s just virtual.” I guess these are the new shibboleths of our time – ultimately meaningless, but comforting in that they keep us connected to our un-frightened past.
