Which means that, barring any mishaps, we could have an approved vaccine by April 2021. And, giving an arbitrary 30 days for the nuts and bolts of procuring the vaccines, shipping, and so on, we can probably expect a commercially available vaccine only by May 2021. Ano pa yan, rush yan. That isn’t even taking into consideration supply delays, artificial shortages as merchants try to cash in on the vaccines, and all the million other ways that the delivery of the vaccine can be messed up. Yung ayuda nga lang, di mai-distribute ng maayos agad, vaccine pa kaya? Oh and, I wonder how much it will cost. Last I checked, a flu vaccine already cost thousands of pesos – waaay beyond the reach of many Filipinos. Would the pricing of a COVID19 vaccine be more accessible?
