The end is postponed indefinitely

There will never be a shortage of threats against a nation.

When the drugs run low, kidnapping becomes the problem. When headway is made against kidnapping, base criminality will surge upwards. In the meantime, the seeds of fear of terrorism will be sowed, for harvesting at the most opportune time. Because of the attention given to criminality, drugs will creep back in and become a massive emergency problem again, re-starting the cycle for another go-around. And if at any time, a level of tolerance for these basic fears is ever developed, terrorism will rear its ugly head.

If the end is to be equated with the elimination of threats against the nation, then the end will never come. What’s a nation to do?
