I’m pretty sure the paper didn’t mean anything by it when they ran an article entitled: Counting Machines Are Fixed, Government Says. Certainly the body of the article was very clear about what they actually intended to say.
SOLICITOR General Francis Jardeleza assured the Supreme Court on Tuesday that glitches in the counting machines the Commission on Elections is buying from Smartmatic for P1.8 billion have been fixed and the poll body is preparing to operate them in next year’s elections.
There, see?
“The glitches have been fixed.”
Repaired, mended, addressed … a quick shift-F7 would have been pretty helpful.
Not the other kind of “fixed.”
In any case, does anybody know where I can get my hands on a cheap thesaurus?
