Batangas is known for the strength of its coffee and the strength of its people. That strength is being tested now, in the aftermath of the eruption of Taal volcano.
The Rotary Club Of Manila South is preparing a relief operation for the people affected by the eruption of #Taal. We can’t help everybody, but we will reach out to those we can. We are looking at a possible partnership with the Rotary Club of Taysan, to ensure that whatever help we can muster will be handled properly and responsibly.
We are putting together care packages for 500 individuals, containing
- Washable cloth facemasks
- Adult underwear
- Baby diapers
- Potable water and biscuits
This will cost approximately PhP 25,000.00. If you would like to help in this effort, know that these are only the most immediate needs of the families – men, women, and children – in evacuation centers. Other in kind donations, such as: blankets, used clothes, and food in easy-open cans, will be included in the care packages, as available.
You can drop off your in-kind donations at the Office of the Director, COMELEC Education and Information Department, at 3/F Shipping Center Building, Intramuros, Manila. Or, we can pick them up where you can send them – just let us know.
