To the sales clerks, the waitstaff, the utility workers, and everyone else in the service industries who put up with our impatience and seeming indifference to them; to the drivers, the loaders, and the bus conductors who keep us company while we travel home; to the soldiers, the police officers, the coastguard men, the security personnel, and everyone who’s staying at their posts to make sure that this Christmas stays safe for all of us; to the doctors, the nurses, the medical technicians, the emergency medical teams, and all other medical professionals who have to stay on duty while the rest of us get to spend time with the ones we love; to the reporters, the cameramen, the news anchors, the light men, the sound men, booth technicians, guest coordinators, producers, and everyone involved in bringing the news to our televisions while we gather around the table with our midnight feasts; to the call center agents, hotline operators, BPO workers, and everyone standing by their phones in case we need anything while we celebrate this season of good cheer; AND to everyone else I might have left out, A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!
