Voter Registration is Back!

The Commission on Elections has declared that the resumption of the system of continuing registration of voters will be on September 1, 2020, except, in areas declared under ECQ or MECQ. If an area is under ECQ or MECQ, but later on transitions to GCQ/MGCQ, or “no community quarantine status”, the registration of voters will automatically resume. In such cases, voter registration will remain open for the duration of the GCQ or MGCQ status. The reverse is also true. If an area under GCQ/MGCQ or “no quarantine status” transitions to ECQ or MECQ status, registration of voters shall be automatically suspended. Likewise, the suspension in that case would remain for the duration of the ECQ or MECQ status. Filing of applications shall be from Tuesday to Saturday, including holidays, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at the Office of the Election Officer (OEO).
