Arrest Abalos

This morning, the Hon. Jesus Mupas – Pasay RTC Br. 112 Judge – issued a warrant of arrest against former COMELEC Chairman Benjamin S. Abalos.

“In their Comment/Opposition, plaintiff argues that there is probable cause for the issuance of a Warrant of Arrest against the accused-movant, that the preliminary investigation conducted by the Commission and the DOJ-COMELEC Preliminary Investigation is regular and valid; that the accused-movant’s right to due process of law has not been violated; that the accused-movant’s arguments are evidentiary in nature and are best ventilated during the trial.

“Accused-movant’s arguments denying the existence of probable cause questioning the credibility of co-accused Martirizar are evidentiary in nature, which must be raised and proved during trial.”
