Q: What are the procedures to be able to vote under my married name? I am registered with my maiden name.
A: What you want to do is to file an application for CHANGE OF NAME/Correction of Entries. You will need to bring a marriage certificate. Also, I have to tell you you can continue voting under your maiden name if you wanted to. 😀
(via Twitter) Q: I’m a registered voter in Cavite but I want to transfer in Paranaque City. What are the requirements po?

Q: Director James, do I still need to register if I voted last May 10, 2010?
A: Nope. If you were able to vote in the last elections, that means your registration is up-to-date, i.e., you haven’t been de-activated. No worries for you then, come the October barangay elections! Huzzah!
A: May COMELEC offices sa bawat siyudad at munisipalidad, so hindi problema yan.
Q: How many times would u have skipped voting for your registration to get deactivated?
A: Twice. Failure to vote in two successive regular elections will generally result in deactivation. However, since we are still in the middle of modernizing our registration handling systems, there might be some unintentional exceptions. We are working to resolve those as quickly as possible.
Q: i’ve registered for the natl election, do i have to register again for the barangay election?
A: Nope. A person needs to register only once in his lifetime: either when he turns 18 or when he feels he is ready to vote.
